Federal Air is both the original innovator and market leader of air shuttle services in southern Africa. Federal Air offers a daily Shuttle Service to Madikwe Game Reserve and the top game lodge destinations in Southern Africa.
The 75 000 hectare Madikwe Game Reserve is located in the North West Province of South Africa. Madikwe is a prime wildlife safari destination and one of the largest game reserves in South Africa It is one of the few reserves in southern Africa, which is malaria free. Besides many other wildlife species, the Big 5 can also be found in the reserve.
Located in North West province, the reserve borders Botswana and lies within a transition region between Lowveld bushveld and the Kalahari thornveld. The region is host to an incredible diversity of both plant and animal species and the topography offers excellent game viewing opportunities.
90 kilometres north of Zeerust, Madikwe is about 3.5 hours' drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The reserve is also accessible by Federal Air Shuttle Services to Madikwe. Guests can fly direct to Madikwe from Johannesburg (OR Tambo International Airport) and Nelspruit (KMIA) with Federal Air. Flights to Madikwe onboard Federal Air are available twice a day.
There are two landing strips located within the reserve; one on the eastern side and another on the western side. Guests will land on the airstrip closest to their lodge and a game vehicle and ranger will transport guests directly to their lodge.
